Services & Fees
As a Certified Funeral Celebrant, I create Memorial or Funerals Services, and Living Memorials, facilitating ceremonies for terminal people who wish to do something before the end of life. In preparing for your service, I will meet with you at your own home, or at your chosen funeral home. Usually, this meeting takes one to two hours. During this time, I will explore ways of making the service as meaningful and as personalized as possible, as I learn about you and the loved one who passed away. Participation by family and community is always encouraged. In your time of loss, I will focus on making the passing away of a loved one a time of tribute and comfort to you.
Once all of the elements of the service are discussed and decided upon, I will write a customized service that will suit your situation, including all of the various elements. In this way, I can create a flowing and elegantly crafted homage to your loved one. As necessary, I will assist the various speakers before the proceeding and supervise the ceremony’s design and facilitation. During the event, I will expedite and conduct the proceedings, and make any necessary announcements. I will also lead individuals through any rituals within the ceremony.
As every ceremony is unique, fees are quoted on an individual basis, based on the time for writing and designing your ceremony, date, location, and travel, and my time to officiate your ceremony. I will always try to work within your budget. Full payment is required upon our first meeting or telephone conversation, and will reserve my time for your chosen date. I will send you a Letter of Agreement that specifies all terms and agreements. You can contact me directly or by asking your chosen death care service provider to contact me on your behalf. This could be done during the meeting with the Funeral Director.
